Unidentified gunmen have killed a woman and injured her husband during an attack along Kamfanin-Bobi–Durgu Road in Niger State, sources said.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 1:43 p.m. on Feb. 17 when the victims, identified as Bande Wakili Baga, 34, and his wife, Dadiya Alh. Jabi, 24, of Sabon-Gari via Kamfanin-Bobi, were ambushed by armed assailants.
The victims were rushed to Abubakar Private Clinic, Durgu, where Dadiya Jabi was confirmed dead on arrival, while her husband is receiving treatment and responding to care.
The deceased’s body was photographed and taken to Dr. Olu’s Clinic, Kamfanin-Bobi, for autopsy.
Efforts are ongoing to track and apprehend the attackers.
