The Police Command in Ekiti has arrested a man in connection with the killing of another during a fight over N4,000 in Ado Ekiti.

Sources confirmed on Sunday that the incident occurred on Aug. 15 at Uso community along Ado–Afao road.

The sources said the suspects, identified as Michael (surname and age yet unknown), from Kafanchan Local Government Area of Kaduna State, and John Dindul Selbol, 26, from Langtang Local Government Area of Plateau State, engaged in a violent fight at about 10:30 p.m.

According to the sources, both men sustained serious injuries during the altercation. Michael was rushed to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, where he was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

“Scene of the incident was visited, photographs taken, and the corpse deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy,” the sources said.

Selbol, who also sustained injuries, is receiving treatment at the hospital under police custody while investigation continues.
