Paystack, the Nigerian fintech company owned by Stripe, has suspended its co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Ezra Olubi, following allegations of sexual misconduct involving a subordinate.

The accusation surfaced on social media on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, sparking widespread reactions across the tech community. In a statement to TechCabal, Paystack confirmed that Olubi has been placed on suspension pending a formal internal investigation into the claims.

The company noted that it is treating the matter with “the utmost seriousness” and has activated its internal disciplinary and compliance processes to determine the facts.
