“CONFUSION IN LAGOS MARKET AFTER SHOCKING DISCOVERY — TRADERS IN PANIC” seven passengers sustained injuries when armed bandits attacked commercial vehicles in Rabah Local Government Area of the state in Sokoto
Security sources said that the attack occurred on Sept. 10 at about 8 p.m. when a large number of armed bandits, bearing AK-47 rifles, blocked the road between Kogoho Lambar Tofa and Kogogo Rijiya villages under Rabah District.
According to the sources, the bandits opened fire on three commercial vehicles conveying passengers from Achida Market to Rabah town.
“The drivers refused to stop and managed to escape, but seven of their passengers sustained various degrees of injuries,”said the sources.
Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA were swiftly deployed to the scene. The security forces engaged the hoodlums in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to retreat with possible bullet wounds.
The sources said the victims were rushed to Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH) for treatment.
