The Kaduna State Police Command has rescued three children aged 10, 12, and 14, who were abducted on August 25, 2025, and reunited them safely with their families.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed in a statement that the operation followed strategic intelligence gathering and tactical communication that led to the arrest of the gang leader identified as Richard.
During interrogation, Richard confessed to the crime and revealed that he conspired with two teenagers, Ibrahim (18 years old) and Abubakar (15 years old), to abduct the minors and hide them at his residence.
Acting on this intelligence, police operatives stormed the hideout, arrested the suspects, and successfully rescued the victims unharmed.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, who personally reunited the children with their parents, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property.
He urged parents to remain vigilant, while warning that all forms of criminality in the state would be met with decisive action.
