Kano Road and Traffic Agency Mobile Court Convicts 87 Traffic Offenders

The Kano Road and Traffic Agency, KAROTA, has convicted 87 traffic offenders through its ongoing mobile court.

‎According to the statement, “the mobile courts sat at various strategic locations across the city over the past two days and convicted offenders for disobeying traffic light signals and other related road regulations.”

‎It added that one of the court sessions, which sat at Magwan Junction along State Road under the supervision of Chief Magistrate Halima Wali, convicted 41 offenders.

‎Similarly, another session held along BUK Road by Kofar Pompo Junction, presided over by Senior Magistrate Hauwa Abba, convicted 46 motorists and tricyclists for similar offences.

‎The Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon. Faisal Mahmud Kabir, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to sustaining the mobile court sittings in different parts of the metropolis to curb the rising cases of traffic light violations.

‎Kabir explained that the initiative was not meant to harass or intimidate motorists, tricyclists, or other road users but to ensure sanity on the roads and safeguard lives and property in line with the people-oriented policies of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.
