North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, has called on Arab countries to form an alliance with North Korea amid rising global tensions.
In a statement circulating in international media, Kim urged nations in the Middle East that feel threatened by the United States and Israel to consider closer cooperation with Pyongyang.
“I call on Arab countries that fear Israel and the United States to declare an alliance with North Korea,” he said.
Kim further claimed that such an alliance would enable North Korea to “discipline” both the United States and Israel, while offering protection to countries in the region.
He also warned that failure to act could lead to increased foreign influence over Arab nations and their resources.
The statement comes amid escalating geopolitical tensions involving multiple global powers, with analysts noting that North Korea has historically positioned itself in opposition to U.S. foreign policy.
There has been no immediate response from Arab governments regarding the remarks.
