The battle to occupy Ahmadu Bello Government House is becoming interesting as Offa Born Geologist, Abdulmujib Adeola Olaniyi joined the Kwara 2027 governorship race.
Sources close to Olaniyi, the Founder of Mujib Adeola Olaniyi Foundation hinted on his plan to contest on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Governorship Hopeful from Shawo South/East ward of Offa local government studied Geology and Mineral Sciences at University of Ilorin. He earned Safety Certification (COHSES) from University of Federicton, Canada.
Olaniyi who attended prestigious Government Secondary School Ilorin is not a novice in politicking, he actively participated in school politics. Mujib served as a Prefect in GSS Ilorin and Financial Secretary of Kwara State Secondary Schools Press Club.
The Offa born Politician served as Director of Publicity in the Geology Department, PRO Faculty of Science and member of UNILORIN SUG Senate. He also aspired for the position of Public Relations Officer of SUG before proscription of the Union by the Management then.
Olaniyi as a promoter of United Kwara served as National Director of Publicity, National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS), National Headquarters.
Upon graduation, the Offa Prince served the country in different capacity for 12 years. Olaniyi later relocated to Canada to upgrade his knowledge in safety and business management.
He currently working as Safety Practitioner and running private business in Nigeria and outside the country.
His love for humanity led to the establishment of Mujib Adeola Olaniyi Foundation (MAO Foundation). The Foundation focuses on assisting the less privileged individuals and education support for the vulnerable.
