Armed assailants identified as members of the Lakurawas group launched a violent attack on Bazaga village in the Alela commune, Konni department, in the Tahoua region late Sunday night.
According to local sources, the attackers stormed the village around 11 p.m., firing several gunshots that caused panic among residents.
The assailants reportedly looted livestock and valuables, leaving behind a scene of destruction.
