For several days, singer Davido has been flaunting his wealth on social media, sparking mixed reactions from online users.

Many critics have described him as a “daddy’s boy,” suggesting that his success in the music industry is largely tied to his family’s influence, despite his undeniable talent.

The conversation intensified after Davido shared a new update linked to his father’s business ventures. According to Punch, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, the Pro-Chancellor of Osun State University, has completed a 1,250-megawatt power plant in Ajebamidele, Ondo State.

The $2 billion project, however, is yet to begin operations as it is not yet connected to the gas grid. Once operational, it is expected to create employment for over 2,000 engineers and other skilled workers.
