Precise intelligence enabled FAMa to launch surgical strikes in the Timbuktu region, yielding significant results: Night of January 3, 2025: FAMa conducted an offensive reconnaissance mission that identified and struck a hidden pickup vehicle loaded with logistics, approximately 30 kilometers northwest of Ras-El-Ma in the Goundam area.

Afternoon of January 4, 2025: Another reconnaissance mission located and destroyed a major AQIM logistics depot situated 11 kilometers northwest of Zarho in the Gourma-Rharous area.

The depot was part of a convoy of trucks carrying essential materials and logistical supplies, heavily guarded by armed men. The convoy was reportedly on its way to resupply AQIM combat units in the southern Gourma region.
