According to reports by Punch, Olukoya’s visit to the church, which he had once attended as a young boy, was deeply emotional, allowing him to reconnect with his roots and reflect on his early years.
Pastor Gideon Obiwale, the Regional Superintendent of CAC Oke-Igan, warmly welcomed Olukoya upon his arrival. Obiwale took to his Facebook page to share pictures and videos from the visit, emphasizing the significance of the moment. In his post, he described the visit as a “courtesy visit,” highlighting that the Regional Superintendent personally hosted Olukoya. The visit was not just a social call but a meaningful return to the church that had been a part of Olukoya’s spiritual foundation.
This visit to CAC Oke-Igan was not the first time Olukoya had returned to Akure in recent years. In 2021, he made another emotional return to the city, where he revisited St. John’s CAC Primary School, Oke-Igan. This school, which had played an integral role in his early education, was in a deteriorating state at the time.
Olukoya took it upon himself to oversee a renovation of the school, transforming it into a modern 21st-century learning facility. The renovation significantly improved the educational environment, benefiting both students and staff, and served as a testament to his commitment to improving the community that had nurtured him.
Throughout his visit to CAC Oke-Igan, Olukoya expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to return to his childhood church. He reflected on how his formative years at the church and school had shaped his spiritual and educational journey. His return to these significant places in his life was a reminder of his humble beginnings and the values that continue to guide his work today.
His visit was warmly received by members of the church and local residents, who appreciated the opportunity to meet and interact with such an influential figure in Nigerian Christianity.
Olukoya’s trip served as a bridge between his past and present, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to giving back to the community that played a vital role in his early development…Don’t Miss Out! CLICK HERE TO KEEP READING>>>
