Hungary’s Foreign Minister, Péter Szijjártó, has accused Ukraine of deliberately blocking the Druzhba oil pipeline and misleading foreign diplomats about the situation.

Szijjártó made the allegation while addressing the status of the Druzhba pipeline, one of Europe’s key oil supply routes that transports crude from Russia to several Central and Eastern European countries, including Hungary.

According to the Hungarian minister, the pipeline remains technically functional and could resume operations immediately if Ukraine allows the flow to continue.

“The pipeline is in working condition and can be restarted in just one minute.

Therefore, we demand that the Ukrainians restart the pipeline and stop interfering in the election campaign in Hungary,” Szijjártó said.

Hungary has repeatedly expressed concern over disruptions to energy supplies through the Druzhba pipeline, which remains a critical source of crude oil for the country’s energy sector.

Relations between Budapest and Kyiv have been strained in recent years, particularly since the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine war, with Hungary often taking positions that differ from several other European Union members regarding sanctions and energy policy.Get The Full, Details. .
