A Nigerian lady, Jennifer Blessing, has urged couples to pick single men as best men at their weddings, saying it allows chief bridesmaids “to spot a husband to marry.”
In a Facebook post on Monday, March 23, Jennifer recalled her 2023 experience as a chief bridesmaid, when the groom’s best man turned out to be married.
“Hmmm! I thought being chief bridesmaid would give me a chance to connect with the best man, not knowing some are already married. Hei! Chimoo, I suggest couples choose unmarried best men so we, the chief bridesmaids, can also meet potential husbands,” she wrote.
She added, “To those in the same shoes, God will connect you to your own best man, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
