When we talk about Imo State and the insecurity ravaging her, some of our people won’t truly understand. One thing we must bear in mind is that Imo State was never a home of insecurity....TAP HERE TO READ THE FULL STORY..>>
Imo used to be cool; that’s why people would finish their business activities in Aba and Onitsha and drive to Owerri, the Imo State capital, on weekends just to enjoy the weekend. Today, Imo has become a butcher ground and we aren’t asking why.
The recent tackling of insecurity in Anambra state by Anambra State Governor in the person of Prof Chukwuma Soludo, insecurity has doubled in Imo State. Lots of criminals that have used Anambra as a safe haven have run to Imo State, and crime has tripled.
There are more cases of kidnapping in Imo State as am writing this. The worst is that people are constantly kidnapped. The males among them are rapped by suspected ritualists who leave their victims with maggots coming out of their anuses. This is not an exaggeration. This is a clear case with concrete information. Terrible things are currently happening in Imo State.
The worst is that the governor of Imo State was put by those who wanted Imo State to burn. This implies that he is involved in the insecurity going on. On the other hand, the police in Imo State are busy going after Yahoo boys to get enough money for their families. They are afraid to engage these criminals ravaging Imo State due to the activities of these hoodlums. People are now going house to house, street to street to rob people. There is a complete state of lawlessness in Imo State as I am writing this. 85 per cent of Imo is gone to insecurity. A good governor would have understood the implications of what the Anambra state government was doing and worked hard to stop them from entering Imo State.
This is a clarion call for all Imo State people to put hands on desks to kick insecurity out of our communities and villages. The government won’t do this for us. They would rather join in kị́lling us than stand to protect us. We have our town unions and youth organisations. It is time to make use of them. Discussions on how to tackle this insecurity should start. Youths doing no job but living big in our interior villages should be rated out. If you see any illegal movement please report it. IPOB enquiry lines are always there to hear your reports.
Together, we must sanitize Imo State. Imo is not a home of criminals. Imo remains the most educated state in the entire South East. This is why we must join hands together to send the criminal that invaded us packing.
