The Kano command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 27-year-old suspect with a N10 million worth of cannabis in Kano.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, the suspect, identified as Umar Adamu Umar from Fagge Local Government Areaa of the state, was arrested on August 6 along the Zaria–Kano Road.
The suspect arrested while trying to transport19 parcels of cannabis sativa, weighing about 9kg, from Lagos to Kano when operatives of the agency attached to the Kiru Area Command intercepted him.
However the agency explained that Adamu-Umar had been under surveillance before his arrest and he had confessed to being involved in the Continue…Reading..
