The Nigerian Army (NA) has released the list of successful candidates shortlisted for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026 Selection Board.
In a public announcement, the Army disclosed that the shortlist is available on its official recruitment portal at recruitment.army.mil.ng.
According to the notice, shortlisted candidates are to report to the Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI), Jaji, Kaduna State, by 9:00am on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The Selection Board exercise is scheduled to run from February 23 to March 8, 2026.
Items Required for Screening
Candidates are required to report with the following items:
- Writing materials
- Four (4) copies of recent coloured
passport photographs - Four (4) copies of recent full-size coloured photographs (standing position in a suit)
Each full-size photograph must have the following details written at the back:
- Surname
- First name
- Other name
- Date of birth
- Service number (for serving personnel only)
- Current unit (for serving personnel only)
Other required items include:
Scratch cards for online verification of WAEC and/or NECO results
Three (3) plain white short-sleeve vests
Three (3) pairs of blue shorts
One pair of canvas shoes or trainers and
three (3) pairs of white socks
Bucket and toiletries
Set of cutleries (plate and drinking cups)
Beddings, including blankets, bedspread, mosquito net, and pillowcases
