Nigerian Man Arrested by Ukrainian Forces While Fighting for Russia

Ukrainian forces have captured 29-year-old Nigerian national, Kehinde Oluwagbemileke, who was fighting for Russia in the ongoing war.

He was apprehended by the Freedom of Russia Legion in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region.

Kehinde had lived in Russia for four years before allegedly agreeing to join the military in exchange for a reduced sentence after a drug-related arrest.

Reports suggest thousands of Africans are fighting in the conflict, with Nigeria leading the list of African countries with mercenaries involved.
