Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, on Sunday participated in a high-level panel session on counterterrorism at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026 held in Türkiye.
The forum brought together global leaders, policymakers and security experts to deliberate on the evolving nature of terrorism and emerging security threats across different regions.
During the session, participants exchanged views on practical strategies to counter violent extremism, with a strong emphasis on strengthening international cooperation and enhancing intelligence sharing among nations.
They stressed that building trust and fostering collective responsibility among countries remain critical to addressing the increasingly transnational nature of modern security challenges.
The panel also highlighted the importance of adopting comprehensive approaches that combine military efforts with political, economic and social interventions in tackling terrorism.
Speakers noted that no single country could effectively confront the threat alone, underscoring the need for sustained collaboration and coordinated global responses.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum is an annual platform that provides opportunities for dialogue on pressing global issues, including peace, security and international cooperation.
