Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have intensified their crackdown on terrorists across the North-East under Operation DESERT SANITY V, recording fresh battlefield victories and major recoveries.
In Sector 2, soldiers working alongside the Civilian Joint Task Force stormed terrorist hideouts around Muktum and Ngirbuwa villages in a daring night operation.
Scores of insurgents were neutralised, while troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, three motorcycles, and multiple mobile phones.
Follow-up sweeps along escape routes uncovered drag marks and a shallow grave, suggesting even more enemy casualties.
Meanwhile, in Sector 1, troops intercepted fleeing terrorists along the Bulayobe–Darel Jamel axis as they attempted to cross a key Main Supply Route. The insurgents fled in chaos, abandoning two sacks loaded with suspected logistics supplies meant for terrorist operations.
Although security across the theatre remains calm but unpredictable, troops continue to dominate their operational areas with high morale and relentless pressure.
The Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the offensive against Boko Haram and ISWAP until lasting peace and economic stability return to the region.
