NNPC: Marketers Increase Fuel Prices In Abuja From N965 To..

Fuel prices in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have increased as the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited and independent marketers adjusted pump prices.

NNPC outlets now sell Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at N990 per litre, up from the previous N965, while independent marketers have raised prices to as high as N1,030 per litre.

This increase is due to the ongoing deregulation of the petroleum sector, allowing market forces to dictate fuel costs.

In areas such as Apo, Jabi, and the Central Area of Abuja, prices now range between N990 and N1,030 per litre. At an NNPC outlet near Airport Junction, the price was observed to have risen to N990 on Tuesday.

For private filling stations like AA Rano, NIPCO, and Shema, prices have crossed the N1,000 mark, with some stations charging as much as N1,030.

A commercial driver, Kasimu Atiku, confirmed the price hike to Daily Trust, revealing that while he purchased fuel at N960 on Tuesday in Gwarimpa, many stations had already adjusted prices.Tap Here To Read Full Details
