In Seven Doors, Akpotha portrays the role of an Igbo queen married to a Yoruba king (played by Femi Adebayo), bringing to life a tale of kingship, kinship, family, love, betrayal, and restitution. The role required her to speak fluent Yoruba.
Appearing in a TVC Interview alongside her co-star, Femi Adebayo, the actress disclosed that she learned Yoruba specifically for her role in the series.
