Iyiola Omisore, the immediate past National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the current administration cannot be blamed for the crisis that has bedevilled the funding to the local government in Osun State.

Omisore made this known while responding to questions in an interview on Arise Television.

According to him, the challenges do not have anything to do with the President, indicating that the blame should be laid on the doorstep of the state government.

“This thing is not concerned with the general election. It’s not concerned with the president at all. It has to do with local government and the state.

“So don’t blame the president…And don’t blame the APC. Put your blame on the PDP who has not allowed them to work or who abducted the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE,” he said.

His comments come after Elder statesman and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, disclosed in an interview on Nigeria Info FM that workers in Osun State are being paid by the Adeleke family.

He said music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido; his father, Dr. Deji Adeleke; and Governor Ademola Adeleke have been paying the workers.

According to him, the Federal Government has withheld the state’s allowances for about six months, forcing the Adeleke family to shoulder the responsibility.
