Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga has hailed the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as one of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s greatest legacies, describing it as a “gift to Nigeria” that will silence its critics once completed.
LeadNaija News report that, Onanuga, in a personal X account shared on Friday, narrated how the ongoing project has already eased movement for commuters.
He explained that while traveling from Ajah to Ikeja, Google Maps initially projected a journey time of two and a half hours.
However, he was redirected to the Coastal Highway, where the drive from Ogombo to Ahmadu Bello Way took less than 25 minutes.
“With the new route, we arrived in Ikeja in a record 65 minutes on an unusually traffic-busy Friday,” he noted, adding that the only delay was at a fuel station where motorists were queuing for Dangote petrol.
Onanuga praised the administration and contractors, saying: “Blessed be the visioner and dreamer, and blessed be the contractors for the quality work on the road.”If You’re Reading From Phoenix Click On Read Original at the top To Read Full Article
He stressed that the highway, which is still under construction, has already cut commuting time by more than 50 percent and would stand as a historic achievement for the Tinubu government once fully completed.
