The Ondo State Scholarship Board has announced the commencement of applications for bursary, scholarship awards, and financial assistance for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In an official advertisement released in the state capital, Akure, the Board invited eligible students of Ondo State origin studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria to apply via its official website.https://odssb.org.ng
Application Period
Applications open on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and close on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Prospective applicants are advised to carefully read all instructions on the Board’s website before selecting the appropriate category of application.
Eligibility Criteria
A. Bursary
All students of Ondo State origin studying in:
- Universities
- Polytechnics
- Monotechnics
- Colleges of Education
- Schools of Nursing/Midwifery
- Colleges of Health Technology
across the country are eligible to apply.
B. Scholarship Award
To qualify for the Undergraduate Scholarship Award, applicants must:
- Be students of Ondo State origin.
- Be in second year (200 level) or above.
- Possess a minimum CGPA of:
4.0 on a 5.0 scale, or
3.0 on a 4.0 scale (for university students). - Polytechnic students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
C. Financial Assistance
The following categories are eligible:
Medical students of Ondo State origin currently in clinical studies.
Physically challenged students of Ondo State origin in tertiary institutions nationwide.
However, Ondo State students in the Nigerian Law School are not required to apply, as their details are processed directly through the Council of Legal Education.
Important Notes
Students on part-time and sandwich programmes are NOT eligible.
