The Osun State Government has launched a free public internet service aimed at expanding digital access for residents, students, and businesses across the state.

According to government officials, the initiative is designed to bridge the digital divide, improve access to online learning resources, and strengthen the operations of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) that rely on internet connectivity.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, while unveiling the project, said the programme reflects his administration’s commitment to digital inclusion, youth empowerment, and economic growth.

He explained that providing free internet hotspots in strategic locations would help students conduct research with ease, enable entrepreneurs to scale their businesses online, and allow the wider public to stay connected.
