In just two months since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reopened its online voter pre-registration portal, more than 7.4 million Nigerians have completed the process across the country.
According to INEC’s latest data, Borno State leads the registration chart with 783,546 pre-registrants, followed closely by Osun (632,751) and Lagos (590,341).
At the lower end of the table are Edo (11,166), Abia (6,038), and Ebonyi (12,489) — recording the fewest online pre-registrations nationwide.

INEC has encouraged those who pre-registered online to complete their biometric capture at designated centers before the deadline to ensure full voter registration ahead of the 2027 general elections.
