Pastor Abel Damina of Abel Damina Ministries has apparently knocked Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church for stating that he let go of some gospel music ministers because they were making money from the church while pretending they were singing praise to God....TAP HERE TO READ THE FULL STORY..>>
MyNigeria learnt that Christ Embassy groomed popular talents like Sinach, Frank Edwards, Joe Praize, and Eben, who have all left the church.
In a viral video, Oyakhilome stated that he decided in 2020 to let them go when he realized that the church was losing its way of worship.
The clergyman lamented that churches were becoming party centers and not prayer places where God’s Word was truly celebrated.
He further stated, “No, everything changed. The music in the world became worldly. They danced for themselves and celebrated themselves, not God. How many of those singers were soul winners? They were never soul winners. They will lead praise in the church and when it is time for prayer, they are out. They have gone to another church to do another song.
“They were professionals, making money from the church, charging for their singing, pretending they were singing praise to God. It was all a charade and many of the pastors didn’t know that this was the world coming to the church and they helped to celebrate them. I did at the beginning. When I changed, they refused to change with me.
“Yeah, I had to let them go. Cause God was getting my attention and telling me this is not the way. So I came back and I said to them, ‘Hey, if anybody celebrated you, I did. Now, the Lord is asking us to do the right thing.’ And I showed from the Scripture what was the right thing but well, they had become too popular and they were making some money which wasn’t big money. Do they even know what money is? But the little money they were making was too attractive.
“Their hearts were overcharged. So they didn’t want to follow me in the direction we were going. They made a detour and I hope they all repent cause I told them the direction they were going was a wrong direction. One day, those churches that were inviting them to come and do special singing for them will stop inviting them. Once those churches repent and start doing the right thing too, they will close their doors.
“Because what they were doing is not from God. I told you what the ministry is supposed to be like. For true worship. So, those people parading, going from place to place that they are worship leaders, there is nothing like that. They are not worship leaders. That ministry doesn’t exist. The only one who had that role was fired by God and it was Satan. So true praise is in the House of God not some Minister so and so traveling from place to place collecting money from people to be paid and he say he is a minister of worship. He is not. Don’t give him money, don’t pay and see what happens. That person will be retired very quickly.”
In an apparent reaction, Damina urged his colleague to deal with the monsters he created.
He also revealed that those calling themselves gospel music ministers are no different from secular musicians.
He said, “The worst of them are the ones they call music ministers, because I didn’t see that in the Bible. There is no difference between them and Davido, Tiwa Savage and Burna Boy. Their modus operandi is the same. They have agents, agencies, managers. They have a list of things you must do. You pay, you sort things out before they come. They are the same thing. The only difference is that their lyrics are motivational, ‘Everything na double double o’. it’s not the gospel. The gospel must have the facts in it. Any song that doesn’t have those facts is not the gospel, it’s motivation. The gospel is how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again on the third day. If those lines are not in a song, it is motivation.
“So they come and motivate, hype people and make them cry and feel nice. After it all, nothing. Yet they charge $50,000 for one night. Those of them they call A-List gospel ministers. They charge that kind of amount. N10 million for one night. These are businessmen using the Bible as a meal ticket. They don’t stay in teaching services and they don’t have pastors. They don’t sit down to be taught. They are just like prostitutes. When they come and sing, immediately they finish singing, they are gone. Because as far as they are concerned, they 5sre the bosses. The rest of you, plus your preachers are apprentices. They are super stars. I don’t blame them. It is the churches that patronise them that are giving them that relevance.
“There’s a ministry in this country that was responsible for fertilizing, nurturing and creating that monster. Now that ministry is regretting amd looking for how to fight it but the monster has matured. They don’t know how to destroy it. They have tried to destroy it but some of them have left those churches because they have already established their business. ‘If you don’t patronize me, other churches will patronize me. You have told the world that I am a profiled, anointed, appointed and ordained man of God that has been so anointed to function with commission, you can’t take it from me.’ They are trying to fight it but it is not working. You created the elephant, deal with it.” Read Full Details
