Pastor Walter Chahwanda, 34, of Plemonstall Court, Chester, has been sentenced to a total of 14 years, nine years in prison and five years on extended licence after being found guilty of 17 sexual offences involving girls aged 14 to 17, as well as the sexual assault of a child under 14.
Chahwanda, who previously served as a pastor in the Apostolic Faith Mission, later established his own church, Sound of Dominion, in Speke, Merseyside.
The court heard that he groomed his victims through social media platforms, including TikTok and Snapchat, sending intimate videos of himself to children before carrying out the ab¥se.
His offences spanned several regions, with victims located in Manchester, South Yorkshire, the East Midlands, and Kent, highlighting the widespread nature of his criminal activity.
The sentencing was delivered at Liverpool Crown Court, reflecting the severity of the crimes and the risk posed to vulnerable young people.
