Operatives of the Ikeja Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a notorious ‘one chance’ kingpin and two of his gang members following a swift response to a distress call.
The suspects, who had allegedly terrorized commuters across Ikeja and its environs, were intercepted after attempting to dispossess passengers of their valuables. Upon arrest, the police recovered the gang’s operational vehicle along with dangerous weapons used to intimidate and assault victims.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the development, describing the arrest as a major breakthrough in efforts to curb the menace of ‘one chance’ syndicates across the state.
The suspects are currently in custody, while investigations are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the gang and bring them to justice.
Police authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant, avoid entering unmarked commercial vehicles, and promptly report suspicious activities through the state’s emergency lines.
