Police in Akwukwu-Igbo, Ebonyi State, have arrested three men in connection with an attack on a patrol team on Jan. 30, 2026.
According to sources, the suspects, identified as Emeke Ofoke, 31, of Ugbodo LGA; Uchenna Ogadu, 23, of Ngbo West LGA; and Chiedu Ojuasie, 51, of the same state, were apprehended on Feb. 1, following credible intelligence received by the command.
During the operation, a blood-stained cutlass allegedly used in the attack was recovered from Emeke’s residence.
The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation, while investigations continue to apprehend other perpetrators involved in the assault.
Authorities assured that intelligence gathering remains ongoing and all culprits will be brought to justice.+See More, Details. .
