The Nigeria Police have recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against banditry in Pindiga town, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, with the successful rescue of two abducted victims and the recovery of arms and logistics used by criminals.

The operation, carried out on Saturday, led to the rescue of the victims from the custody of suspected bandits.

Security operatives also recovered two AK-47 rifles, several rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, and four motorcycles believed to have been used by the criminals to carry out their operations.

Police sources said the operation was executed through coordinated intelligence gathering and swift action, underscoring ongoing efforts by security agencies to dismantle criminal networks and restore peace across the state.
