Newcastle United wants to sign a Premier League player to replace Alexander Isak who is forcing the move.

The biggest surprise of the summer transfer window has to be Newcastle United. After securing the Champions League football, the Magpies were expected to be very active in the transfer market.

And so they are, but there is a massive problem they are facing which was surely unprecedented. Most of the players Newcastle wanted to sign are rejecting them.

With Champions League football and money to spend, Newcastle United were bound to be a catch for many players this summer. But most players have rejected the Magpies.

And, to pile up the misery, their star man, who played a massive role in their Carabao Cup glory and Champions League qualification, Alexander Isak, is desperate to leave the club.

The Swedish international has taken some serious steps to force a move to Liverpool. But, so far, all his attempts have gone in vain as Newcastle are holding their ground.

But Eddie Howe and the Newcastle board know the inevitable. That is why they are actively in the market to sign a striker.

The likes of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Viktor Gyokeres, Hugo Ekitike, and Benjamin Sesko were all targets for Newcastle United, who rejected the move.

Now, Newcastle have found a player who is desperate to play for them. According to Fabrizio Romano, Brentford attacker Yoane Wissa has set his heart on playing for Newcastle.

Brentford are holding onto the player just like Newcastle are doing with Alexander Isak. So, Newcastle can get this Yoane Wissa deal over the line in the coming days.
