President Bola Tinubu is calling on the media to join in the actualization of the principles of federalism, which his administration has opened up with the local government autonomy.

President Tinubu was speaking at an interfaith breaking of fast dinner with Media Executives, Newspaper Proprietors and Guild of Editors members at the state house.

The President who appreciated the critical role of the media so far under his administration and their intellectual inquisitiveness, pointed out that he took the decisions to reform various aspects of the economy to safe Nigeria from bankruptcy.

The President promised to continue to hold his patriotic dedication towards improve Nigeria and implored the media to join in the responsibility of nation building.

Minister of information and national orientation, Mohammed Idris appreciated the President for his support and allowing the enabling environment to media.

The Nigerian Press Organisation through their president, Frank Aibogun solicited the intervention of the president in addressing the issues around media survival, including exemption of import tariff on media equipment, which the president promised to look into.
