PSG have taken a shocking transfer stance as they were linked with a move for Rodrygo from Real Madrid.

Rodrygo was expected to leave Real Madrid this summer. After what happened at the club world, it was quite evident that this relationship with the new manager is not so amicable.

Xabi Alonso barely used Rodrygo in that competition, which was seen as an audition of how Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid would play throughout the season.

And, the fans of the Los Blancos got a shocker when PSG decimated Real Madrid in that semi-final game and knocked Madrid out of the competition.

Since that game, there have been talks about revamping the squad and selling the players Xabi Alonso believes will not suit his style of football.

And, the name of Rodrygo was emerging, and almost every European giant was getting linked. Lately, Manchester City has been heavily linked with a move for Rodrygo.

However, Real Madrid were expecting a bid from another. Yet, that club has now ruled itself out of the race to sign the Brazilian this summer.

According to a report on DefensaCentral, PSG will not sign Rodrygo this summer as they are moving away from the move.

Now, this can be a major boost for Manchester City, who are closely monitoring the situation with the 24-year-old Brazilian.

Pep Guardiola is a massive fan of Rodrygo and would like to sign him. However, for that, Rodrygo’s compatriot, Savinho, needs to make a decision about joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

If Savinho ends up at Tottenham, then Manchester City will definitely look to sign Rodrygo as his replacement.

However, there were talks about PSG submitting a €100 million bid for Rodrygo this summer.

But with Goncalo Ramos set to stay at PSG next summer, the Champions League winners have decided to go against signing the Brazilian this summer.
