Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has drawn comparisons between the infrastructural legacies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his tenure as Governor of Lagos State and that of former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi.
In a statement posted on social media, X (formerly twitter) Omokri highlighted several Millennium Secondary Schools initiated, completed, and commissioned by Tinubu at a time when then-President Olusegun Obasanjo allegedly withheld Lagos State’s federal allocation.
He listed examples including:
- The Abibatu Mogaji Millennium Secondary School, Agege
- The Bola Ige Millennium Secondary School, Ajeromi
- The Babs Fafunwa Millennium Secondary School, Ojodu
- The Millennium Senior Secondary School, Egbeda
Omokri claimed that during Obi’s eight years as governor, no nursery, primary, or secondary school was initiated, completed, and commissioned. He went further to challenge Obi’s supporters, vowing to pay ₦10 million if they could name one such school from Obi’s tenure.
Omokri also questioned why Obi resides in Lagos instead of Anambra, suggesting it was due to a lack of infrastructural development in the state under his leadership.
