Reno Omokri has revealed that former presidential candidate Peter Obi once said “Education in Anambra state is not meant for the poor.”

This was after Obi increased school fees at Anambra State University to an astronomical ₦230,000 in May 2011.

Omokri said Obi made the statement when students protested.

Omokri made this known while criticizing Obi for condemning the hike in the price of international passport.

He said, “Having behaved like that as a Governor, don’t you think it is hypocritical of you to now attach President Tinubu over the ₦100,000 price tag for a passport, when passports are even more expensive in Kenya and Ghana?”
