Governor Sim Fubara has stirred reactions following remarks he made while delivering a speech at the New Telegraph Awards/Dinner Night.

Speaking at the event, the governor said, “I choose to be weak because I want peace in my state, weak because I need to survive and to protect the things that are not only dear to me but to the nation.”

He explained that his decision to adopt what some may consider a softer stance is driven by the need to maintain stability and safeguard the collective interest of the people.
