Tragedy has struck Nigeria’s media community as Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu (Sommie), a respected anchor, reporter, and producer with Arise TV, was confirmed dead in the early hours of today.
She reportedly lost her life following an armed robbery incident at her residence in Katampe, Abuja. The circumstances surrounding the attack are currently under investigation by the Nigeria Police Force.
Her sudden death has left colleagues, friends, and viewers in shock, as tributes pour in for the young journalist remembered for her professionalism and dedication to truth in reporting.
