Senator representing Kogi Central Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has reacted to actress Regina Daniels’ recent posts responding to her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko’s allegations that her siblings and friends supplied her with illegal substances and disrupted her rehabilitation.
Reacting in the comment section of Daniels’ post on Sunday, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan dropped a love emoji “❤” and also shared the actress’ picture on her Instagram page with the same emoji.
In a series of Instagram posts earlier on Sunday, Daniels denied her husband’s allegations, accusing him of lying to the public to conceal the real issues in their relationship.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this. You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason,” she wrote.
While admitting to past drug use, Daniels said Nwoko was using the matter to manipulate and isolate her.
“Fine, I did drugs. So what? Is that even the issue between us? The moment we had a fight, you rushed to the public shouting drgs because you knew it would make a perfect story for the media,” she said.
The actress accused Nwoko of coercion, alleging that he once encouraged her drug use and frequently tried to isolate her from friends and family.
She also claimed he locked her up, seized her phones and instructed doctors to inject her with drugs meant for people with bipolar disorder.
Daniels questioned the legality of their marriage, stating, “I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us. We were never married in any court of law, and no documents were signed. Leave me alone.”
Her response followed Nwoko’s public claim that her brothers Sammy and Lawrence introduced her to drugs.
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s subtle reaction comes months after she accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of making unwanted sexual advances toward her, a claim he denied.
Daniels and Nwoko, who married in 2019, have two children together.
Their marriage has been under public scrutiny following their recent social media exchanges.
