Controversial Nigerian businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD, has reportedly been arrested at the airport while attempting to board a flight to Qatar on Friday, August 1, 2025.
According to reports from Stella Dimoko Korkus Blog, IVD’s arrest is connected to the ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, which remains in court. Insiders revealed that under the current legal conditions, IVD is not permitted to leave Nigeria until the trial is concluded.

Sources say the businessman will remain in custody until Monday, August 4, 2025, when he is expected to be formally charged in court.
This arrest adds yet another twist to the long-running, high-profile case that has drawn intense public interest since Bimbo’s tragic death in October 2022. The case, marked by accusations, counter-claims, and heated social media debates, has been a point of controversy for almost three years.
Adding to the unfolding drama, IVD’s current partner, self-proclaimed relationship and mental health expert Blessing CEO, has allegedly confirmed his arrest to close sources. According to the blog, she is now making frantic moves to see how she can assist him in securing his release.
Blessing CEO has been a vocal defender of IVD since the beginning of the case, often clashing with Bimbo’s friends, family, and supporters on social media. Her involvement has only fueled public debate around the businessman’s legal troubles.
