Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has raised serious alarm over flight safety in Nigeria, alleging that some pilots get high before taking off.
According to him, he has personally refused to board some flights after sensing that the pilots were unprepared — or even intoxicated.
“I’ve on many occasions stopped to fly because of the inadequacy of the pilots’ preparation. Some of them use Indian hemp. Yes, it’s true. Some of them smoke Indian hemp,” Kalu said.
