Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has accused Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State of hypocrisy following the arrest of youths for allegedly creating a WhatsApp group to mobilize against bad governance.
In a statement shared via his official X handle on Friday, Sowore described the action as “totally insane,” alleging that several of those detained were minors. He faulted the governor for allocating “billions of naira” to repentant Boko Haram militants while clamping down on peaceful citizens exercising their constitutional rights.
