Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho, has publicly declared support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying he wants the Nigerian leader to secure a second term in office.
Igboho made the statement while addressing supporters, where he dismissed the chances of opposition figures such as Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.
“President Tinubu for a second term. We don’t want any Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar here,” he said.
The activist further stated that even after Tinubu completes the constitutionally allowed two terms in office, he would still support calls for the president to continue leading the country.
“Even after Bola Tinubu completes his eight years in office, we will still beg him to continue,” Igboho added.
Igboho, who gained prominence through campaigns for Yoruba self-determination, has previously been known for his strong advocacy for regional autonomy.
His latest comments have sparked reactions in political circles, with observers noting the apparent shift in tone from agitation-focused activism to open political endorsement.
