Suspected Drug Peddler Arrested In Taraba, Hand Over Tramadol Consignment To NDLEA

Troops of Operation Safe Haven have arrested a suspected drug peddler and recovered a large quantity of tramadol tablets during a snap checkpoint operation in Bali Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Sources said the suspect was intercepted at about 3:57 p.m. on March 27 by troops of Sector 3 stationed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Bali along Allah Yayi–Daka road.

The source disclosed that the suspect was found in possession of 600 cards of tramadol tablets.

He added that the arrest was made during a routine stop-and-search operation aimed at curbing criminal activities along the axis.

According to the source, both the suspect and the recovered exhibits were handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.
