A suspected vandal, Umar Biliaminu, has narrowly escaped death from a mob attack after he allegedly attacked a man who caught him stealing barbed wire fence in Lagos State.

LeadNaija reports that it took the intervention of the Police, who rushed to the scene, rescued and detained him at the station over his alleged conduct.

The incident happened at about 8:40pm on 21st August, 2025, in the Iju area of the State, where the suspect allegedly went to steal the items, was caught in the act and the residents attempted to attack him.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Friday.
