Tax Reform Bill Submitted Is Biased- Shehu Sani

Shehu Sani, former senator for Kaduna Central, has dispelled concerns that President Bola Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bill, presented to the National Assembly, is biased against the Northern region.

He dismissed fears of regional discrimination, saying, “The Tax Reform Bill is not inimical to the North or any part of this country. People should keep aside sentiments and read the Bill carefully.”

Directly addressing Northern governors, Sani appealed for a reconsideration of their rejection of the bill, urging them to “take time to read it.”

He reassured that the reforms would not result in job losses or increased taxes but would secure national and state revenues. “No region will be shortchanged,” he added.
