A disturbing video has emerged showing a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer in captivity, being brutally assaulted by his terrorist captors in Ekiti State.
The footage, shared by activist Rinu Oduala, shows heavily armed men repeatedly flogging the officer with a cane while he cries and pleads for mercy.
The distressed victim is heard speaking in pidgin English: “I don dey look. Sorry, I use Allah beg you,” as the attackers continue their assault.
Oduala expressed outrage that as of the time of her statement, no visible rescue operation had been launched by security agencies to locate or free the abducted officer.
