President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Fola Adeola as Chairman of the Presidential Petroleum Reform and Value Optimisation Taskforce.
Adeola, a renowned banker and entrepreneur, is the co-founder of Guaranty Trust Bank and founder/chairman of Fate Foundation.
The taskforce is expected to drive reforms and improve value optimisation across Nigeria’s petroleum sector as part of the administration’s efforts to enhance efficiency and transparency in the oil and gas industry.
Other members of the taskforce include Ademola Adeyemi-Bero, Osagie Okunbor, Abubakar Suleiman, Adaeze Aguele, Farouk Gumel, Phillipa Osakwe-Okoye and Seyi Bella.Mofoluwasho Fadayomi will serve as Secretary of the taskforce.
The presidency said the team will work on strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening reforms, improving efficiency and ensuring maximum value from Nigeria’s petroleum resources.
