President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched a new platform to provide a support package for both academic and non-academic staff members at tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Through the initiative, known as the Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF), beneficiaries can access interest-free loans of up to ₦10 million, repayable over a period of five years. The repayment plan includes a one-year grace period before instalments begin.
The application portal for the programme has been declared open and can be accessed at tissf.education.gov.ng.
Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, described the TISSF as a clear demonstration of the Renewed Hope agenda in action, affirming that it underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to the education sector and the welfare of its workforce.
